Kara Kelley
Kara joined CoreMessage in May 2008 and is responsible for providing support to the
CoreMessage team by conducting client research and drafting and editing public relations
materials. In addition, Kara assists in coordinating and executing special events and
maintaining media contact lists. Prior to joining CoreMessage, Kara worked at
Oppenheim Research in Tallahassee, Florida where she conducted telephone interviews
and assisted with various focus groups. Kara is currently a junior at Florida State
University and is an active member in the student chapter of the Florida Public Relations
Association.
Meghan Connery
Meghan is a senior, public relations major at Florida State University and joins the CoreMessage team as one of our fall interns. To contribute to the CoreMessage team,
Meghan monitors and pitches client news to various media outlets, drafts and edits public
relations material and conducts client research. In addition to these responsibilities, she
assists in the execution of special events such as press conferences and public forums.
Meghan is the current secretary of the Florida Public Relations Association student
chapter and helps coordinate Communication Career Awareness Day for Florida State
University. Prior to joining CoreMessage, Meghan worked in the College of
Communication Advising where she informed students of the opportunities the university
has to offer.
Lisa Bryan
Lisa joined CoreMessage in August 2008 as a part of the internship program. Her
responsibilities include drafting and editing public relations material, media pitching,
conducting client research and coordinating special events. Prior to joining
CoreMessage, Lisa interned in the communications department of Covenant Hospice, a
not-for-profit specializing in end of life care, assisting in special events planning and
writing press releases. During the summer of 2008, she interned at Navigators, a
Tallahassee-based strategic communication firm, where she gained experience drafting
opinion editorials, letter to the editors, website copy and pitching stories. Currently, Lisa
is a senior at Florida State University majoring in public relations, an active member of
the student chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association and a volleyball coach at
Trinity Catholic School.
