J. Rachel Gustafson
Senior Account Executive
J. Rachel Gustafson joined CoreMessage in May 2007 as an account executive. Rachel plays an integral role on various client accounts. From coordinating press conferences and pitching client news to drafting content for collateral materials and conducting media and marketing research, Rachel works to ensure that each client achieves optimal results.
Before joining CoreMessage, Rachel served at the Claude Pepper Museum and Library as the center’s public outreach coordinator. She worked with the center’s director to sponsor and schedule events to stimulate public interest and awareness. Her tasks included producing and facilitating public opinion surveys, organizing and assisting with events, creating and maintaining media contact lists, and collaborating with the university’s Media Relations Department.
In addition, Rachel volunteered as the public relations assistant coordinator for Lee’s Place, a local non-profit grief and loss counseling center. As the assistant coordinator she helped raise awareness of the center’s services and fundraising events with increased local media coverage to inspire community involvement.
Rachel graduated from Florida State University’s College of Communication with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations. In college, she served as the president of the Student Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association and was presented with the College of Communication Academic Leadership Award.
